Volunteer at the Cornwall Festival of Tech
The Cornwall Festival of Tech aims to showcase the best that the county has to offer in terms of its technology, digital and software expertise. The Cornwall Festival of Tech is for all of Cornwall; families, children, tinkerers, enthusiasts, creatives and businesses demonstrating their exciting work to other industries and the public. Our volunteers bring their energy, enthusiasm, skills and excitement to our events and help to provide an incredible experience to visitors.
Tech Cornwall is the team behind the Cornwall Festival of Tech. As a small not-for-profit community organisation with a team of just six people, our volunteers are an important part of our extended family.

Volunteering Opportunities
Volunteering for the Cornwall Festival of Tech 2025 will take place during the festival fortnight from 15th – 28th February 2025. The location and time of volunteering are flexible and could also include the option to volunteer remotely. Events will take place during the day and evening and could be during the week or on weekends.
We can reimburse your travel expenses.
Volunteering opportunities are open to anyone who is able to assist others. No previous experience is necessary but an interest in digital and technology would be an advantage. We’re committed to supporting accessibility, equality, diversity and inclusion as are our volunteers. All volunteers should adhere to our community Code of Conduct.
How can you volunteer
The most help volunteers can provide during the Festival is during the first week and our Tech Jam on Tour sessions. They run every day between the 17th and 21st February and you really don’t require any technical expertise to participate. The sessions are designed for around 20+ children from ages 8 and up and are often very busy with lots of questions! All the activities are based around worksheets so the only real skill needed is following step-by-step instructions. If you have some technical skill this is a benefit, but if you’re willing to just jump in and have a go this is just as important!
