Apply for a grant to host your own event
Ever had a great idea for an event but never had the funds to get it off the ground? Well, now might be your chance!
If you’re a small community group or individual that has dreamed of launching your own community event then we might be able to help. We have grants of between £250 – £2000 for you to do just that! The event must have a tech, digital or software focus. It could be a meetup, a hackathon, a demo event, something for your local community, a lecture, a showcase, a ‘come and try’ day, a conference, an experience or a workshop. The possibilities are endless and the more creative the better!
The event could be something brand new or could be something that already exists and needs a little bit of extra support. The event can take place anywhere in Cornwall. We’re keen to support communities that are often missed off from main event activity.
Criteria
Your event should take place during the festival fortnight between 12th – 25th February 2024. Your event will be listed and promoted as part of the festival and you should also do your best to promote it across your network. The event IP will remain your own and we hope that it will prove successful and continue to be a part of the programme for many years to come.
If successful, you will be required to submit some additional information to adhere to funding requirements. Please note that submission of an application does not guarantee funding. All applications will be reviewed and considered on their merits in line with the objectives of the Cornwall Festival of Tech. Successful applicants will be notified within 30 days.
Scoring
Scoring will be undertaken by a selection committee including at minimum one Director from Software Cornwall.
