The workshop was devised as part of the University of Cambridge Digital Manufacturing on a Shoestring research project. Over 400 companies have participated in the workshops and over 150 companies have deployed the low-cost digital solutions, using affordable off-the-shelf technologies, that Shoestring has designed.
